Trip to Blists Hill

As part of our History learning, we visited the Victorian town of Blists Hill. We were lucky enough to dress up as real Victorian children and experience a reading, writing and maths lesson in a traditional Victorian – style classroom! ( With a very strict teacher…). We then explored all of the different shops and houses within the village. We were intrigued by how different life was in the Victorian times and now appreciate how lucky we are to live in the 21st Century!

Class Six Book Café

The children had time to sit in the cafe and try out new books and authors. It was wonderful to listen to them recommending books and reading them aloud to one another. To top it off, we had hot chocolate and a biscuit to enjoy whilst we read.
