A few pictures from our summer break nursery transformation…
Our new School Based Nursery class opened its doors to our youngest members of our Hodent school community on 2nd September 2026. This expansion to our school is an exciting time to further develop the high quality Early Years provision that we currently offer. Our core offer for Nursery is for children aged 2-4 years, with children eligible to start the term after their 2nd Birthday. We offer full day nursery education with the option of wraparound care. Our school wraparound care is Breakfast club from 8am – 8:50am and after school club (Honey Bees club) from 3.10 – 5.45pm. Our nursery class is led by highly experienced staff, with the previous pre-school staff joining our main school team. The Nursery and Reception are now overseen by our EYFS leader, Mrs Noden.

Hodnet Pre-School Playgroup closed in July 2026. To ensure continued Early Years provision for our community, our school based, teacher led nursery class, opened in September 2026. Hodnet Pre-School Playgroup, was a privately run Community Led Pre-School setting previously located on our school site.
