Reggio Emilia themed provision
Our Reception classroom is Reggio Emilia inspired, meaning that it is more natural in style and discovery based for our young inquisitive learners. We expose our children to enriching real life experiences, immersing them in progressive knowledge and skills and equipping them with personal characteristics to succeed in life. We know that all of our learners are inquisitive, constructive and have the ability to map their own learning path though creativity and discovery.

Transitional information
Before starting school, families have several opportunities to come to school, to meet our team and to experience school life. We provide information to support children and families throughout this exciting time of getting ready for school. Families are welcome to come to look around our school and are welcome to contact us with any questions or queries. We look forward to welcoming families to our Hodnet family.

Transition session and information 2025/26
Parents of children who will be starting school in September 2025 are invited to an information evening on Thursday 12th June in school from 5.30-6.30pm.
Children are invited to attend two settling in sessions and a full day in school in the summer term.
Thursday 19th June 2025 1.15pm – 3.15pm
Thursday 26th June 2025 1.15 – 3.15pm
Tuesday 1st July 2025 9.00 – 3.15pm (including lunch) parents invited to attend from 3pm.
