Winter Safety

Mrs Bessant led our half termly safety assembly this week focussing on winter water and ice safety.

During these colder months please can parents ensure that all children have appropriate clothing for school including coats, hats and gloves as they are outside to play end experience the weather, so need to be suitably dressed. Thank you.

Christingle workshop

Rev Becky is coming to school to deliver an after school Christingle event. Children and families who wish to participate will be able to book a place via Parent Pay. Places will be limited. Children will stay after school to find out about the Christingle and make some with the church volunteers. Parents will then be asked to come to join in the lighting of the Christingles from 4.15 until the end of the session.

  • Save the date: Monday 3rd February.
  • Venue: School hall.
  • Timings: 3.15 – 4.15pm Children’s workshop (all year groups welcome) 4.15pm – parents/family members join the children. End of the session 4.30pm.

Y6 Booster classes

Our Y6 Booster class will begin next week on Monday and Tuesday. The two sessions will be after school until 4.30pm, led by Miss Darmanin. Information on Parent Pay.

Calendar – Hodnet Primary School

Miss Manton’s return to school

I can confirm that Miss Manton will be returning on Monday 3rd February, she will resume her full time teaching post in Class 2. Miss Davies’ last teaching day in Class 2 will be Friday 31st January. However, Miss Davies will remain in school in a full time role as part of our education offer at Hodnet, more information about this to follow over the coming weeks. 

Miss Manton will resume her role as PE coordinator and Computing lead upon her return.
