Class 1 investigated Autumn turning into Winter

With the chilly weather this week, Class 1 thought about the transition from Autumn into Winter.

We completed a carousel of activities at forest school. We sorted evergreen and deciduous leaves, looked for natural shelters for animals living in our environment, collected acorns and conkers for hibernating animals, role played being hibernating animals and created some winter art.

Year 1 – Which material would make a good coat for Baby?

In Science, Class 1 have been learning about materials. We tested different materials to find which would be the most suitable for a coat for Baby.

Year 1 enjoyed their visit to Blists Hill!

Class 1 enjoyed their visit to Blists Hill. As part of our English and History learning, we completed a workshop delivering letters to Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and the Gingerbread Man. We learnt about life at home during the Victorian period.

Geography fieldwork

As part of our Geography work on our local area, Class 1 went on a walk into Hodnet. We used OS maps to compare what we could see with what is depicted on the map.

Careers Week Talks

Class 1 listened to talks from lots of different professions.

 

 

Learning to log in

Class 1 have been learning to log into the computers using the username and passwords.
