2026 is the Year of Reading!

The “Year of Reading” is the UK’s National Year of Reading 2026, a major campaign led by the National Literacy Trust  and supported by The Reading Agency,  and the Department for Education (DfE) to combat declining reading enjoyment by making reading relevant, joyful, and part of everyday life, using the slogan “Go All In! www.goallin.org.uk to connect reading with personal passions like football, food, or films, and involving schools, libraries, and communities in activities.

The goal of the year is to spark a reading revolution, showing reading is valuable for skills, well-being, and unlocking passions, not just an academic task. The idea is to rebrand reading as a modern, culturally relevant, and immediately rewarding activity for all ages, bridging the gap between digital life and reading.
