A.R.Richards support

A huge thank you to the team at A.R.Richards for their kindness and generosity. They have provided high quality equipment to our school and other local schools, some have been donated and others at incredibly discounted prices.

Thank you to Mrs MacCallum and Mrs Freeman who enjoyed ‘shopping’ for all the items! We’ve mainly got PE or outdoor games equipment, but also some science and classroom equipment. They were delivered this week by a special furry friend! Great fun was had when the team arrived with our things.

Democracy in action

This week we voted in our House Captains and Vice Captains. The whole school voted for their captains following the principles of democracy.

Class 6 pupils diligently prepared their speeches and delivered them to their house team with confidence and clarity. We are incredibly proud of them all.

Our Trust CEO, David O’Toole was very impressed to see our Y6 children confidently delivering their speeches to other pupils, and also noted how well the rest of the school listened intently and showcased great respect towards them.

Well done everyone!

Starry night sleepover

Our Y5&6 pupils are invited to a sleepover in the school hall on Friday 22nd November. We have been running this event for a number of years and have found it to be successful and very enjoyable.

As part of the children’s science learning about Space, we have a fun filled evening of space activities, including craft, team building, science, DT and maths. We also invite Mr Williams, Mrs Williams’ husband, and Mr Cunningham, Mrs Lyall’s dad, who are both keen astronomers, to attend. They will kindly show the children the moon and any visual stars and or planets through their telescopes. Fingers crossed for a clear evening.

At the end of the evening we all enjoy a movie together on the big screen before settling down to sleep. Only staff members will stay overnight. Further information and booking information will be send out closer to the time.
