Class 1 and 2 PE next week

Please can Classes 1 and 2 come into school in PE kit on Wednesday and Thursday next week.

They will wear their normal school uniform on Monday.

PE kit

A reminder that our PE kit consists of a plain white T-shirt, plain blue or black shorts/tracksuit and trainers.

PE kit is part of our school uniform and therefore it is only these items that are permitted.

Arthurs Plough-Fordhall Farm

Please find attached a flyer for the upcoming performance so Arthur’s Plough, a family friendly musical play telling the story of Fordhall Farm!  We would greatly appreciate you sharing this in any upcoming electronic communications with your parents/carers and helping us spread the word. If you have classes that have visited us for an educational visit in recent years I am sure they would love to see it.

Santa Cruise

The Lyneal Trust are pleased to advise that our popular Santa Cruise will be taking place again this year.

Netball and Football Festival

On Thursday, some children from Year 3 and 4 took part in a netball and football festival with other schools in our trust. They played brilliantly, worked well as a team and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout. We were delighted to come away as winners in both competitions!

Celebrating Success. Book Worm 09.10.26

Well done to everyone who received awards or shoutouts this week, we are very proud of you.

Today we celebrated reading in our celebration assembly, with praise for lots of children for their reading at home and reading throughout the curriculum in school.

Year 2 Football Tournament

A group of children from class 2 competed in a football tournament at Bowbrook today with other schools within the trust, they all played fantastically showing lots of determination and enthusiasm. They showed true sportsmanship and resilience during their games.

  • Class 3 – Robyn for your fantastic writing of your non-chronological report and your description(of its) appearance of her character. Well done!

  • Class 6 -Lacey for being a  fantastic learner, listening and challenging your self in every lesson. Superb!

  • Headteachers Award KS2- Football and netball teams for their sportsmanship and great achievement winning the 318 celebration tournament.

Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

Thank you for all the wonderful donations of cakes for the Macmillan coffee afternoon.

It was lovely to see so many people supporting this event.

The total cash raised was £617.00, thank you for all the donations we will update you with the online donations in due course.

Market Drayton Food Bank Donations

 

Thank you for all the donations to Market Drayton food bank.

Mrs Lyall will be taking these on Tuesday, unfortunately this year the children are unable to visit to drop off the donations but we will arrange a visit later on in the year.
