Litter Picking in Hodnet- Eco Warriers and School Council

This year the school council decided to set a goal of improving the school’s contribution to our local community.
Currently, there are two projects; keeping our village tidy and working with Hodnet Hall Gardens
On Friday 24th April, our KS2 school council and Eco Club representatives have completed  a litter pick around the Working Mens Club and along the path. Taking care of our local community is so important although the children were astonished at the amount of plastic rubbish.

Did you know A plastic bottle typically takes

450 to 1,000 years to decompose in a landfill, but it never fully disappears. Instead, it breaks down into smaller, hazardous pieces called microplastics, which contaminate soil and water.
