Year 1 – Which material would make a good coat for Baby?

In Science, Class 1 have been learning about materials. We tested different materials to find which would be the most suitable for a coat for Baby.

Year 1 enjoyed their visit to Blists Hill!

Class 1 enjoyed their visit to Blists Hill. As part of our English and History learning, we completed a workshop delivering letters to Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood and the Gingerbread Man. We learnt about life at home during the Victorian period.

Geography fieldwork

As part of our Geography work on our local area, Class 1 went on a walk into Hodnet. We used OS maps to compare what we could see with what is depicted on the map.

Careers Week Talks

Class 1 listened to talks from lots of different professions.

 

 

Learning to log in

Class 1 have been learning to log into the computers using the username and passwords.

Class 1 enjoyed their first penny whistle lesson with Mrs Salt from the Shropshire Music Service!

Goldilocks visits Class 1!

Class 1 had a surprise when they got back from assembly – the police had cordoned off part of our classroom! Class 1 quickly spotted that there were three bowls of porridge, three chairs, a curl of blonde hair, a rag doll in a baby bed and a yellow dress. They quickly realised that Goldilocks must have been in the class! They completed a crime report by writing a list of the evidence that they had found.
