Birds of prey

Class 2 really enjoyed our visit from Shropshire Falconry this afternoon. We learned about what the birds eat, when they hunt, where they come from, and the special features that they have which help them to hunt and survive.

Wheels and axles

We investigated how toy cars work. We discovered that the wheels are attached to an axle so that the wheels turn together. Then we used straws and cardboard wheels to make a set of wheels with an axle. We learned that the wheels need to be held in place on the axle with washers.

Making habitats

In science we have been learning about habitats around the world. We have looked at different habitats, the animals and plants that might live in each habitats and what makes that habitat a suitable place for different living things. Then we chose a habitat to make. We had to think carefully about the features of our habitat and the living things we could include in it.
