Class 2 had a great day thinking about how David Attenborough has had such an impact on the world we live in now. We watched some clips of his documentaries and carried on our learning during activities time.
- weighing animals – making estimates and then using the balance scales to find out the weight of the animals.
- grouping and classifying animals and then making a block graph to show how we had grouped them.
- creating fact files about animals.
- pretending we were David Attenborough and making our own documentary.
- creating a picture of different animals to go on a display of 100 animals for 100 years of David Attenborough.
- creating ocean plates – thinking about how our use of plastic can impact our oceans.
We also enjoyed a workshop with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust creating a wild flower seed bomb. We are hoping that lots of children plant these at home or somewhere they find suitable and then we will help to improve habits for lots of our worlds tiny creatures!
