Christingle workshop

We send huge a thank you to members of the local church community who led a Christingle workshop for children after school this week. Many of the volunteers gave up their time to prepare and resource the workshop, which was informative, creative and fun. Children enjoyed finding out about the symbol of the Christingle and each made their own. At the end of the workshop the children were joined by their parents, their Christingles were lit, blessings were shared and we all sang a song by candle light. It was a lovely event enjoyed by all.

The orange represents the world, the red tape symbolises Gods love, the 4 sticks represent the 4 seasons, the foil represents those who reflect the light of Jesus and the candle represents Jesus as the light of the world.
