Siblings who are in school together will have their photographs taken within the school day.

Safeguarding reminders

A reminder of the safeguarding team and procedures within school can be found on our dedicated safeguarding page on our website via this link or within the Safeguarding information booklets that we have in our lobby area, an adults version and a children’s version are available.

Safeguarding is our number one priority. Children need to be and feel safe in order to learn and thrive. We make sure that our children know who they can speak to if they have a worry or concern, they know about trusted adults, worry boxes and helplines that can support them. Our children also know that it is their right to be safe and to be protected from harm. We make sure our children know this through the work we do in our PSHE lessons, but also through assemblies and general conversations in school.

Our Safeguarding leads are:

  • Mrs Penny Lyall, Headteacher.
  • Mrs Ceri Williams, Deputy Headteacher (Tue-Fri), Y3 teacher and SENCO.
  • Miss Jenny Darmanin, Deputy Headteacher (Mon), Y6 teacher and Mental Health lead

Please do not hesitate to contact one of us if you have a concern. ‘Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility’.

We wish the very best of luck to the children who are representing school at these events.

Audio Books fundraiser

Our Book Club pupils would like to purchase some Audio Book Players for our updated library areas. They have researched this idea and have settled on purchasing Voxblock’s. These are very similar to a Tonie, but have small books to insert to play rather than figures. They are also more compact. The Audio Book players would be a fantastic resource for children to use, so we are keen to support them to reach their goal. The children have been tasked with raising the money themselves, so together with Mrs Noden, their Book Club leader, they have decided to have a brownie sale next week straight after school at the same time as the book fair. So please support them if you can by popping to their stall which will be outside the hall (where the ice-creams are usually sold in summer), where you can buy a delicious home made brownie to take home with you.

Special Educational Needs and Disability Parent Survey

Please find a link on our SEND page to a Shropshire Local Authority survey for parents to have their say about SEND in Shropshire. The SEND team would like to hear about experiences of using their services in the last 6 months. They are doing this to help them to improve their services and to seek the voice of those who are using the services at first hand. Unfortunately there isn’t a great deal of time left to complete it as they would like responses by 29th September! Apologies for the short notice, the link only came to us this week.

Please follow this link to our SEND page to complete the survey and share your views. Please note, this is not a school survey.

Thank you,

Mrs Williams, SENDCO.
